Confex Makhalira is a pastoral fellow at University Reformed Church in East Lansing, Michigan. He holds a Master of Divinity from Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary, Grand Rapids, Michigan. He is also an itinerant missionary with Mission to the World (MTW) preparing for church plant work in the southern part of Malawi to begin in June 2019, the Lord willing.

He is married to Mwai and they have two daughters. He is an ordained teaching elder (pastor) in the Presbyterian Church in America. Confex holds a Masters of Divinity from Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary in Michigan and hopes to be ordained as a teaching elder in the PCA. Mwai holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical studies. She has also received training in children and youth ministry as well as Biblical counseling.
